USB-C Docking Station Turns Your Laptop into a Multiport Workstation
This professional workspace dock dramatically expands the potential of your MacBook or Windows laptop by adding 12 ports to its USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port. Not only does the U442-DOCK24DL2A allow you to transmit 4K video to two displays at the same time, but you can also add USB peripherals, connect to a Gigabit Ethernet network, charge your laptop and more.
Transmits 4K Video and Digital Audio to 2 Displays Simultaneously
Two HDMI and two DisplayPort (DP) outputs individually support 4K video resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz with High Dynamic Range (HDR), 36-bit Deep Color and 4:4:4 chroma subsampling. You can connect two HDMI monitors, two DP monitors or one HDMI and one DP monitor at the same time and transmit 4K @ 60 Hz video to both. This allows you to display the image from the host computer (including M1/M2/M3 MacBooks) on two monitors, extend your host desktop across two monitors with different windows open on each, or combine the desktop and two monitors into one large display as a video wall. Note: You must download and install the latest OS-specific DisplayLink driver to your host computer for video transmission to properly occur. This is done automatically upon first connection to the host. If a firewall prevents automatic downloading, you can manually download the driver at the Synaptics DisplayLink website at https://www.synaptics.com/products/displaylink-graphics/downloads.
USB Hub Ports Connect Keyboards, External Storage and Other Peripherals
One USB-C and five USB-A hub ports accept USB peripherals, including keyboards/mice, hard drives and flash drives, and printers. All six ports support fast USB 3.2 Gen 1 data transfer rates up to 5 Gbps and are backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices. One port also supports 1.5A charging for charging mobile phones or tablets.
PD Charging Port Charges Host Device via AC Wall Charger
The USB-C Power Delivery (PD) port supports power output up to 100W, which is more than sufficient for charging and powering the connected source device, such as a MacBook Pro, Windows laptop or Chromebook. Just connect the device’s wall charger to both the USB-C PD port and an AC outlet.
Accesses a Wired Gigabit Ethernet Network
The RJ45 port offers access to a Gigabit Ethernet network when Wi-Fi is unavailable or when a wired connection offers faster speeds. Connect using a UTP cable (sold separately), and enjoy true 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet speeds for fast data transfers.
Connects Speakers, Microphone and Other Audio Equipment
The 3.5 mm mini stereo jack is convenient for connecting speakers, headphones or a microphone to your workstation. You can listen to music or record the latest episode of your podcast.
Anti-Theft Lock Protects the USB-C Docking Station When You Aren’t Around
Connect a user-supplied computer/laptop security cable lock (not included) to this port to protect the dock against theft.

Docking stations with DisplayLink software must have the appropriate driver installed in order for the docking station to function properly. The host computer should have administrator rights, or the ability to access the Synaptics DisplayLink web site and download the drivers separately if restricted by a firewall upon the initial connection between the docking station and host.
