Enterprise Managed Gigabit Ethernet Switch Connects Your Network Devices to a LAN
This space-saving desktop switch transmits data over a Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) network. Sixteen auto-negotiating 10/100/1000 Mbps ports send data via Cat5e/6/6a/8 cable only to the computers, routers, hubs and other devices designated to receive it, which improves the efficiency and potential throughput of the network. LEDs indicate when the switch is powered on and which Ethernet ports are connected and showing activity.

Built-In Web Smart Management Software
The Web Smart software provides rich Layer 2 functionality for monitoring and controlling connected equipment via a simple web interface. VLAN, trunking, VPN, port monitoring and other features improve network efficiency and performance.
Dual Dedicated SFP Ports
Two GbE SFP ports connect to user-supplied SFP modules (sold separately) for uplinking data to other switches via optical fiber or copper. LEDs indicate interface traffic.

The NGS16C2-1 automatically shifts unused ports to a low power state without interrupting its network connection. The switch meets IEEE 802.3ab, 802.3i, 802.3u, 802.3x, 802.3z, 802.3at, 802.3af, 802.1q and 802.1p standards.
Works with the Most Popular Web Browsers
The NGS16C2-1 is browser-based and works independently from the connected computer's operating system. Because switch compatibility is based on common hardware standards, rather than system software dependencies, the NGS16C2-1 accommodates most platforms. Preferred web browsers include Google Chrome (on both Windows and macOS) and Microsoft Edge (Windows only).
Versatile Installation Options
The heavy-duty metal housing can be positioned on a level surface using the included rubber feet to minimize external vibration or mounted into 1U of an EIA-standard 19-inch rack using the included brackets and screws. The detachable C14 to C13 power cord connects to a protected UPS, generator or mains input AC source.
